nonamae/ lesen bei hochgeschwindigkeiten by seyk nonamae/ lesen bei hochgeschwindigkeiten by seyk

I love when you draw machinery, or armor, other extremely detailed apparatuses like in this piece. Though dreamy and surreal as always, they still look plenty functional. Did you have to look at or study a motorcycle or engine to get the detail you achieved on this one, or did you just make it all up?

thanks for your question.
all you can see in all of my works comes straight from the pool of my head. certainly i need to see the things in reallife to transform them into something surreal, anatomize them in their layers.
i study my environment, try to understand what i see, not just simply save the images. that helps me to understand what iam doing in the process of drawing/painting. it also saves time because i dont need to take pictures - iam independent of submittals. in the end i dont want to show what everyone can see. i want to give pictures of what is actually invisible.
